Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Changi Airport Group and Global Aviation Services Pvt.Ltd., hosted a pre-launch event in Guwahati to mark the upcoming expansion of its regional network via Guwahati, with the reintroduction of twice-weekly Bangkok flights via Guwahati and the addition of a third weekly frequency to Singapore via Guwahati, with flight services scheduled to commence in April 2026.
The fair offered a valuable opportunity to connect with the travel trade and have meaningful discussions around Bhutan’s growing accessibility, supported by our daily Delhi-Paro flight services. Grateful for the engaging conversations and continued partnerships that help bring more travelers closer to the Land of the Thunder Dragon.

Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines, and the Department of Tourism, Bhutan, have entered into a Joint Marketing Agreement (JMA) to strengthen the promotion of Bhutan as a premier travel destination. This partnership builds on the multiple collaborative initiatives that Drukair and the DOT have undertaken over the years to enhance Bhutan’s global tourism presence.
Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines and Indamer Aviation Private Limited signed a Maintenance Agreement in the presence of Yab Dasho Dhondup Gyaltshen. This event marks a historic milestone with the first international flight from Gelephu International Airport, officially launching the Gelephu-Kolkata-Gelephu route and establishing Gelephu as Bhutan’s newest international gateway.
Drukair successfully concluded a three-day Zhiwai Jinsey today at its head office in Paro. The auspicious event was presided over by H.E. the Dorji Lopen, Rinzin Jatsho from Takela Monastery, Lhuentse.
Drukair marked a significant milestone today with the arrival of its new Pilatus PC-24 at Paro International Airport, further enhancing the national airline’s fleet and strengthening Bhutan’s aviation capability. The Pilatus PC-24 is an eight-seater Swiss-manufactured light jet renowned for its versatility and its ability to operate on short and unpaved runways, making it exceptionally well-suited to Bhutan’s unique terrain.
Drukair – Royal Bhutan Airlines and Thai Airways have signed an Interline Agreement to enhance travel convenience and strengthen network connectivity between the two national carriers.
The first-ever charter flight between Bhutan and Sri Lanka was officially launched in Colombo, marking a new chapter in strengthening connectivity between the two nations
