Today marks a significant milestone for Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines, as we welcome the newest addition to our fleet, the state-of-the-art H130 T2 helicopter, registered as A5-BHU.

Following the Lhabsa Thusel and unveiling ceremony, graced by Yab Dasho Dhondup Gyaltshen, the helicopter entered into service today.

The Airbus H130 T2 helicopter is powered by a Safran Arriel 2D engine and features a modified airframe and an upgraded digital instrument cockpit layout designed to reduce pilot workload. Combining elements from the H120, H125, and H135 models into a unified design, it excels in passenger transport, sightseeing, VIP duties, medical airlift, surveillance, and external load missions.

Engineered for optimized maintenance costs and operational efficiency, it represents the most economical solution with the highest safety standards and is acclaimed as the quietest helicopter in its class.

A second helicopter is arriving in September, further enhancing our helicopter service offerings to meet the growing demand for medical evacuation, search and rescue, sightseeing, and more.

We extend our congratulations to all the honorees.
