Drukair operates a mixed fleet of aircrafts comprising of A319, A320, ATR, and PC-24 with varying configurations. Accordingly, onboard products, services, and features may vary depending on the route and aircraft assigned. Please note that aircraft assignment on scheduled flights is subject to operational requirements and may change at short notice. We request passenger’s with specific requirements to kindly contact us prior to booking.

Travel Advisory: Check-in counters open 3 hours before departure and close strictly 1 hour prior. Passengers are advised to arrive at least 2 hours early to avoid congestion and ensure a smooth check-in. Late arrivals may risk missing their flight. Effective 1st September 2025, Singapore will enforce stiffer penalties for vaping offences. Travelers found vaping or in possession of vaping products may face fines, deportation, and re-entry bans.

Effective 1 May 2025, all non-Thai nationals must complete the Thai Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 3 days before travel via tdac.immigration.go.th

To ensure the safety of our ground employees, checked baggage must not exceed 32kg per piece, regardless of travel class.

Passengers with single names on their travel documents are not allowed to travel to Dubai. These passengers may be denied check-in or risk deportation upon arrival.

Drukair proudly inaugurated its inaugural flight to Dubai, marking a significant milestone in Bhutan’s international connectivity.

His Royal Highness Gyaltshab Jigme Dorji Wangchuck graced the inaugural flight. Ashi Yeatso Lhamo, Yab Dasho Dhondup Gyaltshen, Minister of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and senior government officials attended the launch ceremony.

The inauguration commenced with a ceremonial Khadar unveiling at the aircraft steps, symbolizing an auspicious start to this new route. Distinguished guests then boarded the aircraft for this momentous journey to Dubai.

Upon arrival at DXB Airport, a welcoming ceremony was held, featuring a cake-cutting event to celebrate this new connection. The evening continued with a reception at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel, Dubai, attended by notable guests from the UAE, including Mr. Butti Ahmed Qarwash – Vice President, Security and Safety at Dubai Airports, Mr. Robert Whitehouse, Vice President, Research – Dubai Airports. Mr. Shyam Kapur, President and CEO of Sharaf Group and Mr Salah Sharaf, Chairman, Sharaf Travel & Senior Vice President – Sharaf Group, alongside other dignitaries, top-tier travel agents, media representatives, and members of the Bhutanese community in the UAE.

The event began with an address from Drukair's CEO, who highlighted the significance of the new route and reaffirmed Drukair’s commitment to enhancing Bhutan’s connectivity. The CEO also shared insights into His Majesty’s vision for Gelephu Mindfulness City, a pivotal initiative focused on sustainability, mindfulness, and innovation.

The Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport also addressed the audience, followed by presentations from the Department of Tourism of Bhutan and Drukair. These presentations showcased Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage and the travel opportunities this new connection offers.

The evening concluded with a lucky draw and a formal dinner, celebrating the promising future of travel between Bhutan and the UAE. This inaugural flight not only serves as a gateway for tourism but also strengthens the ties between our nations. We look forward to welcoming travelers on board and facilitating enriching experiences that connect our cultures.
