In honor of the Coronation Day of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and Social Forestry Day, Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines, conducted a tree plantation programme reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Inspired by the visionary legacy of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and Bhutan’s enduring dedication to environmental conservation, the initiative brought together Drukair employees in a collective effort to contribute towards a greener and healthier future. Flowering plants were also placed across office spaces to enhance the workplace environment and promote environmental awareness.

The programme was graced by Yab Dasho Dhondup Gyaltshen and commenced with the offering of butter lamps and prayers for the long life, good health, and continued wellbeing of His Majesty. This was followed by the tree plantation activity, symbolizing Drukair’s appreciation for nature and its commitment to sustainable development.

A similar plantation and beautification initiative was also carried out at the Drukair Thimphu Ticketing Office, extending the observance beyond Paro and reflecting the airline’s shared commitment to preserving Bhutan’s pristine environment.

Through these meaningful activities, Drukair continues to uphold the values of environmental responsibility and sustainability, contributing to a greener future both on the ground and in the skies.
