Today marks a significant milestone for Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines, as we welcome the 2nd newest addition to our fleet, the state-of-the-art H130 T2 helicopter, registered as A5-BHV.

This expansion follows the arrival of the first H130 T2 on July 1, 2024, bringing the total number of helicopters in Drukair's fleet to three and further enhancing the airline's ability to provide diverse helicopter services.

The occasion was marked by the Lhabsang Thruelsel and unveiling ceremony, graced by the Chief Executive Officer and the Drukair Management Committee.

The Airbus H130 T2 is powered by a Safran Arriel 2D engine and incorporates a modified airframe and an upgraded digital cockpit designed to reduce pilot workload. Integrating advanced features from the H120, H125, and H135 models, the H130 T2 is highly versatile and suited for passenger transport, sightseeing, medical evacuations, surveillance, and external load operations. Engineered for operational efficiency, it minimizes maintenance costs while upholding the highest safety standards. Additionally, the H130 T2 is recognized as the quietest helicopter in its class, reducing noise impact in sensitive environments.

With the arrival of this second helicopter, Drukair is well-positioned to meet the increasing demand for medical evacuations, search and rescue missions, and scenic flights across Bhutan, strengthening our commitment to providing safe, efficient, and advanced aviation solutions to the nation and beyond.
