Passengers with single names on their travel documents, where there is no clear distinction between first and last names (e.g., "Sonam"), are not allowed to travel to Dubai. These passengers may be denied check-in or risk deportation upon arrival.

In a simple ceremony presided over by Yab Dasho Dhondup Gyaltshen, Chief Pilot, and the management team of Drukair, Senior First Officers Yeshey Jampel Dorji, Tshering Penjore, Sonam Lhamo, Namgyal Wangchuk, and Karma Shedrup Tshering were promoted to the rank of Commander today.

Captain Jamyang Nima was also welcomed back to Drukair. Additionally, First Officers Sanga Dorji, Kuenga Yarphel, and Tshering Penjore were promoted to Senior First Officers.

In special recognition, Flight Operations Officer Jigme Tenzin was honored for his solo trail run from Lukla to Everest Base Camp in just 10 hours and 8 minutes, setting a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) record dedicated to His Majesty’s vision of creating awareness about climate change.
