Inauguration of Airbus A320neo

12 October, 2021
Inauguration of Airbus A320neo

In celebrating the joyous occasion of the 10th Royal Wedding Anniversary, Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines formally inaugurated the new Airbus A320neo and introduced new onboard meals, meal service equipment, food packaging, comfort items and amenities with an innovative and sustainable inflight service concept.

All inflight service products and materials were carefully specified to minimize end of life environmental impact and the artworks and designs proudly represent the rich cultural heritage of Bhutan and the traditional patterns and colors of Bhutanese textiles.

Drukair has managed to reduce or in many cases eliminate single use plastics by introducing wood and paper (compostable/biodegradable and recyclable) alternatives inline to Drukair’s vision and commitment to transition into a socially responsible and environment-friendly airline.

The Drukair family is deeply humbled to receive His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen to grace the inaugural ceremony on 12th October 2021 at Paro International Airport.
