To ensure the safety of our ground employees, we remind passengers that checked baggage must not exceed 32kg per piece, regardless of travel class. For baggage over this limit, please split it into smaller pieces, each not exceeding 32kg.

Passengers with single names on their travel documents, where there is no clear distinction between first and last names (e.g., "Sonam"), are not allowed to travel to Dubai. These passengers may be denied check-in or risk deportation upon arrival.

For a seamless transfer through Dubai International Airport (DXB), follow these steps:

These may include:

  1. Follow “Connections” Signs
    • After you disembark from your flight, look for the signs marked “Connections”. These signs will guide you towards the transfer area within the airport.
  2. Proceed to Transfer Security
    • Before reaching the “Connections” counters, you will need to pass through a security check. Please ensure you have your travel documents ready for inspection.
  3. Visit the “Marhaba” Counters
    • Once you clear security, proceed directly to the “Marhaba” counters. At the counter, present your Drukair itinerary and request assistance with your transfer. The Marhaba team will guide you through the rest of the process, including directing you to the “Connections” counter.
  4. Collect Your Boarding Pass
    • At the “Connections” counter, you will receive your onward boarding pass. The team will also assist in ensuring your checked baggage is transferred to your final destination, provided you show your baggage tag.
  5. Relax and Enjoy Airport Amenities
    • If your layover is longer than 4 hours, you can relax in the departure area.
    • Please note, check-in counters for most airlines open 3-4 hours before departure. Once your onward airline begins check-in, return to the “Connections” counters to complete your process.
  6. Boarding
    • Arrive at your boarding gate at least 1 hour before departure.
    • Always double-check your gate number on the flight information display system at the airport to ensure you have the correct departure gate.
Connecting to Drukair – Dubai International Airport

Dubai International Airport has three passenger terminals. Drukair operates from Terminal 1 (T1).

Step 1: Transfer to Terminal 1

If you arrive at Terminal 2 or Terminal 3, please follow the “Connections” signs and take the Inter-Terminal Transfer (ITT) bus to Terminal 1.

Step 2: Security and Connections Area

Upon arrival at Terminal 1, proceed to the Transfer Security area and complete the security screening. After clearing security, continue to the “Connections” counters.

At the far-left side of the Connections counters, you will find the Marhaba counters.

Step 3: Baggage Transfer at Marhaba

Present the following documents to the Marhaba staff:

  1. Flight ticket for your first carrier and your Drukair ticket
  2. Baggage tag from your first flight

The Marhaba staff will assist in transferring your baggage from your first carrier to Drukair.

Note: Although Marhaba normally charges for this service, Drukair covers the cost, and no payment is required at the Marhaba counters.

Step 4: Check in at Drukair Counter

The Drukair Check-in Counter at connections desk

  • Opens 3 hours prior to scheduled departure
  • Is located next to the Marhaba counters

Please visit the counter 3 hours before your flight and present:

  1. Passport
  2. Drukair Ticket
  3. Marhaba baggage slip (issued at the Marhaba counter)

Your boarding pass will be issued, and your baggage will be officially transferred to Drukair.

Connecting From Drukair to Other Airlines

Arrival at Terminal 1 (Drukair)

Upon arrival at Terminal 1, please follow the “Connections” signs and proceed through transfer security.

After clearing security, proceed to the Connections counters. The Marhaba counters are located on the far-left side of this area.

Baggage Transfer at Marhaba

At the Marhaba counter, please present the following documents and request the transfer of your baggage to your onward airline:

  • Drukair Boarding Pass
  • Connecting Flight Ticket
  • Drukair Baggage Tag
Note: There is no payment required for this service, as the charges are covered by Drukair and settled directly with Marhaba. Please retain the Marhaba baggage slip, as it will be required for your onward check-in.

Proceed to Your Next Airline

  • If your onward flight operates from Terminal 1, proceed directly to your next airline’s check-in or transfer counter, these are located in the same line as Marhaba.
  • If your onward flight operates from Terminal 2 or Terminal 3, follow the terminal transfer signs and take the Inter-Terminal Transfer (ITT) bus to the respective terminal.

Arrival at Terminal 2 or Terminal 3

Upon arrival at Terminal 2 or Terminal 3, proceed to your onward airline’s transfer counter and present the following:

  1. Ticket Copy
  2. Marhaba Baggage Slip
  3. Drukair Baggage Tag

Your check-in will be completed at the transfer counter, and your boarding pass for the onward flight will be issued.

Passengers will not be able to transfer to Drukair if arriving on the following airlines:

  • British Airways
  • Pobeda
  • Flyadeal
  • United Airlines
  • Wizz Air
Terminal Information

Drukair operates from Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport. If your onward flight departs from a different terminal, an inter-terminal transfer will be required. Passengers are kindly advised to allow sufficient connection time to complete the transfer smoothly.
