On October 23, 2023, Drukair signed an agreement with Alii Palau Airlines, marking the commencement of operating Singapore-Palau flights on behalf of Alii Palau. Following this, the inaugural flight from Singapore to Palau was operated on November 23, 2023. Guided by the adept command of Yab (Captain) Dhondup Gyaltshen as the Pilot in Command (PIC), the inaugural journey was commemorated with a magnificent water-gun salute upon touchdown at Palau International Airport, signifying a momentous achievement for both Drukair and Alii Palau Airlines. This remarkable journey holds the distinction of being the longest flight ever operated by our pride, the A5-JKW (Airbus A320 Neo), adding a new chapter to its operational history.
